ISO 9001:2008
A revised version of ISO 9001 (ISO 9001:2008), quality management system standard, was published on November 14th 2008. This revision is the result of an internal ISO process that reviews standards every 5 years. The revisions to the standard are minor and should not cause any major changes to existing quality management systems within individual organisations.

All organisations must be compliant with the new standard by 31st December 2009. Any existing certificates are valid for 24 months from the date ISO 9001:2008 was published at which point it will expire (13th November 2010).
